"Senior" Christmas luncheon
Photos and story by Monty Siekerman
About 150 senior citizens attended the 27th annual Christmas luncheon at the Ada Schools on Wednesday.
Many attendees were dressed for in colorful sweaters for the holiday season. Santa greeted everyone while giving out candy canes. The luncheon offers the school system an opportunity to thank the seniors for their support, in many ways, during the time they have lived in the school district.
Following the luncheon, many students showcased their musical talent. The Varsity Singers presented their competition show. This was followed by instrumental, vocal, and dance solos and duets. Then, the 30-member high school choir took the stage.
The afternoon’s entertainment concluded with the combined choir and Varsity Singers performing several holiday tunes.
