Ada prepares for the holidays
Nothing slows down in Ada during the weeks leading up to the fall and winter holidays. Here’s a list of events happened to prove that previous statement. Watch the Icon for complete developments on most of these events.
November
• Throughout November – Liberty National Bank – Project Warmth – donate hats, gloves, scarfs and coats to local children in need
• Nov. 11-22 – Beatitudes holiday raffle
• Nov. 17-22 – Festival of Trees, Community Health Professionals
• Nov. 20 – Ada Area Chamber of Commerce membership meeting
at Ada Public Library, 8 a.m.
• Nov. 22 – Liberty National Bank tailgate party, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Nov. 22 -23 – ONU Holiday Spectacular, Freed Center, 7:30 p.m.
• Nov. 30 – Breakfast with Santa at The Inn at ONU, 9-11 a.m.
December
• Dec. 2 – Ada Area Chamber of Commerce Merry on Main, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
• Dec. 5 – Rotary Club holiday food and wine pairing at The INN, 6 p.m.
Monthly
• Ada Food Pantry (basement of First Presbyterian Church of Ada)
Tuesdays, 4-6 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-noon
Free community meals
• Crock Pot Tuesdays
Beatitudes, 4-6 p.m.
• Community Lunch, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Beatitudes, 11-1 p.m.
• Last Wednesday of every month,
St. Mark Lutheran Church, 5-6:30 p.m.
Weekly
• Bingo at Center on Central every Thursday, supporting the Ada Music Boosters and Ada-Liberty Fire Department. Doors open 5:30 p.m. Bingo at 7 p.m.
