Danielle Waugh, AHS grad, recipient of Liberty bank scholarship
Ada High School graduate, Danielle Waugh, is one of three ara high school graduates to receive a $1,000 scholarship from Liberty National Bank.
She will attend Rhodes State College, Lima, this fall where she plans to study to be an occupational therapy assistant.
Thirty students within Hardin, Logan and Union counties submitted applications for the Liberty National Bank My Money Matters scholarship.
Liberty National Bank offered three $1,000 scholarship opportunities to local students who completed the Liberty National Bank Financial Literacy Program.
This is a free, online financial literacy program sponsored by Liberty National Bank, at no cost to the involved schools.
Liberty National Bank is partnered with leading education technology company EverFi, Inc., to bring this interactive, web-based financial management program schools in their local communities.
“Liberty National Bank is very proud of the number of students we have reached with critical financial education, as it is just one of the many indicators of our commitment to Hardin County,” Ron Zimmerly, president and CEO of the bank, said
“We are proud of the students’ efforts to understand important aspects of personal finance like what a credit score means and how to save for college.”
Danielle Waugh is of daughter of Kerwin and Martha Waugh of Ada.
