Robert Charles Bob Ferguson 1949-2012
Graveside services for Robert Charles Bob Ferguson will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Preston Cemetery in Alger by the Amvets Post 1994 of Kenton.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger.
He died at 7:45 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2012 at his nephew’s residence in Alger.
He was born Nov. 9, 1949 in Vicco, Ky., to Chalmers and Elizabeth (Crace) Ferguson. His father and step-mother, Chalmers and Phyllis Ferguson, survive in Mount Pleasant and his mother preceded him in death.
Surviving are a brother, George Ferguson of Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Mary Hale of Helena, Mont.; caregivers Cann and Terri Phipps of Alger and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Priscilla Noble.
He worked for Proctor and Gamble in Lima for 18 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Army Reserves for more than 20 years.
