Ada linksters beat Gophers in first win

KENTON - The Ada golf team defeated county foe Ridgemont in a dual match at the Kenton Memorial Park Golf Course Thursday evening to record their first victory of 2020.
The Bulldogs easily out-shot the Gophers by a 218-246 score.
The non-conference win improved the Ada season record to 1-12.
Bulldog senior Jacob Morgan earned co-match medalist honors along with Ridgemont's Collin Wallace. Each carded a nine-hole score of 49.
Junior Kamron Wilkerson shot a 52 to support Morgan. Classmate Andrew Rush registered a score of 55. Jack Baumgartner carded a round of 62 to round out the Bulldog scorers.
Ada competes next in a Northwest Conference tri-match at Hickory Sticks Golf Course on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 4:15 p.m. Lincolnview will host the event, which also features Columbus Grove.
