Holiday Spectacular productions span two weekends
When you attend ONU’s Holiday Spectacular, are you busy trying to find familiar faces? In addition to the student cast from Ohio Northern University, local youngsters audition for roles in the production. Director Kirsten Osbun-Manley notes “We have eighteen young children and seven teens in the Holiday Spectacular this year (2021). They are involved in...scenes throughout the production: Frosty, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies, Parade of the Wooden Soldiers, and as Santa's reindeer in Here Comes Santa Claus.”
The attached photo shows the cast during technical rehearsals.
From November 18-20, three performances take place at the Freed Center for the Performing Arts, 500 W. College Ave.
From December 3-5, the holiday musical revue moves to the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center, 7 Town Square, Lima.
Tickets are available through the Freed Center box office, (419) 772-1900. Tickets for Lima performances are also available at all Kewpee Hamburgers locations. The Holiday Spectacular is underwritten by Kewpee Hamburgers and the DeBow and Catherine Freed Endowment for the Performing Arts.
