Joktan Reu Downing, age 32, of Kenton, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.

Joktan was born on April 10, 1990, in Kenton, Ohio to Robert E. Downing, Jr.  and Betty (Slayton) Dunlap.  His father, Robert survives in Kenton, and his mother and stepfather, Betty and Dean Dunlap survives in Lima.

Also surviving are his seven siblings: Chad Downing, Ashley Gordon, Shannon Storer, Shon Slayton, Dawson Hardy, Ethan Downing, Dean Dunlap, Jr., and Elizabeth Dunlap.

Joktan was a collector of things. He enjoyed Marvel and DC Comics, the Lord of the Rings and skateboards. He loved to draw, to give gifts and he never knew a stranger. Above all Joktan loved his family.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
