Andrew James Rettig served in the U.S. Navy
Andrew James Rettig, of Ada, peacefully passed away on December 23, 2022. He was the son of John Rettig and Rose Ann Zachariah Wallace.
Andy is survived by his children: Wyatt Rettig, and Samantha “Sami” Rettig; parents: John and Kay Rettig; brothers: Tony, Kelly (Kandi), Scott (Stefanie), Matt (Jolene); and girlfriend, Kristen Crouch. Andy is also survived by nieces: Jessica and Eliza; nephews: Tony II, Johnathan, and Charles; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Andy was a graduate of Ada High School, where he played football and made many lifelong friends. He loved all sports and was an enthusiastic Browns fan.
Andy served as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy (1991-1996). His surgical and EMT training prepared him well for his career in the medical field.
Andy will always be remembered for “the magic trick” and his sense of humor. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Private family services were held.
