Bulldog volleyball wins 2 at Cory Invite

RAWSON – The Ada High School volleyball team fared well at the six-team Cory-Rawson Invitational on Saturday, September 27.
The Bulldog girls improved to 12-6 after going 2-1 at the tournament.
Ada beat Vanlue 25-12, 25-12 as senior Anna Conley slammed six kills.
Junior Brooklynn Andreasen knocked down five kills and made four blocks.
Freshman Téa Griffith amassed five kills, seven assists, four digs and three aces. Junior Dailah Preston smacked three kills.
Junior Jaylin St. Laurent passed out nine assists, made four digs and dealt three aces. Senior Alainee Buxton hit two kills and came up with two blocks.
Senior libero Alyssa Madison hustled up nine digs, while junior Alivia Gibson added five digs.
Ada then lost to Holgate 25-14, 25-15.
Andreasen led the Bulldogs with six kills. Griffith knocked down four kills, doled out 10 assists and came up with two blocks.
Conley dealt three kills and one ace, while Preston hit a pair of kills.
St. Laurent contributed two kills, six digs and six assists. Madison mustered up 16 digs.
Ada then defeated host Cory-Rawson 25-14, 22-25, 25-12.
Andreasen smacked eight kills, made four blocks and served up six aces.
Conley also drilled eight kills and added six digs. Preston smashed six kills. Griffith also hit six kills, and added five digs to go with a dozen assists.
St. Laurent made four digs, passed out 14 assists and served a pair of aces.
Madison hustled up 14 digs. Harlyn Lowry and Buxton each came up with four digs.
UP NEXT
The Bulldogs (2-4 BVC) are back in action at home on Monday, Sept. 29 vs. league foe Riverdale (7-7, 1-5 BVC).
