Lawrence Edward Shrider, age 69, of Lima, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, after his battle with cancer.

He was born to the late Joe E. Shrider and Anna (Sons) Shrider on November 25, 1956. Larry married and divorced Kay Stram Negron of Largo, FL, mother of their daughter. Larry married his current wife, Daisy Miller Gilbert, on November 24, 1989.

Larry retired as owner of Shrider Painting, LLC of Lima.

Preceding Larry in death is his brother, Danny Lee Shrider.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Melinda Kay (Matt) Wicker of Largo, FL; two sons: Michael Gilbert of Cloverdale and Jason (Emily) Gilbert of Columbus; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda (Ken Muter) Heitmeyer; brother, Dwight (Lisa) Shrider; a brother-in-law and four sisters-in-law.

It was his wish to be cremated and to have a private family service to be held at a later date.
