Bicyclist injured in hit-skip accident south of Kenton
MEDIA RELEASE__On 09/15/2026 The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 16000-block of SR 31 south of Kenton for an injury hit-skip crash involving a bicyclist and a semi tractor trailer.
The bicyclist located on scene was identified as a Mr. Jeremy Honaker of Kenton. Mr. Honaker was traveling north bound on SR 31 on an electronic bicycle with appropriate lighting and in a high visibility vest, riding the bicycle past the fog line, between the ditch and fog line.
Mr. Honaker was struck by an unknown semi traveling northbound as well, and Mr. Honaker suffered several incapacitating injuries and was flown from the scene by Life Flight Helicopter to St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by BKP EMS, Kenton Fire Department,South East Hardin Northwest Union Fire and Life Flight.
This crash remains under active investigation at this time.
