James Coburn 1943-2014
James Coburn, 70, died on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 3:05 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.
He was born on November 2, 1943 in Tip Top, Kentucky to Hager and Beatrice (Bailey) Coburn and they preceded him in death. On March 4, 1967 he married June A. Simon and she survives in Ada.
James retired as a manager in the food service industry for different colleges and universities.
Also surviving are two sons,: Michael Coburn of Ocala, Fla. and Lee Coburn of Baton Rouge, La.; a daughter, Cindy Brumfield of Baton Rouge, La.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Tom (Cathy) Coburn of Ada and Ted (Roz) Coburn of McGuffey; two sisters, Pat (William) Staley of Ada and Judy (Keith) Stone of Lima. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Rettig and Ruth Scott.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Jack Duffy officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
