ONU flute instructor to perform Oct. 21 recital
The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents “Innovation, Transformation and Rediscovery,” a recital by Erin Helgeson Torres, instructor of flute at Ohio Northern University, in the Snyder Recital Hall in the Presser Building at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21. The event is free and open to the public.
The evening’s program will feature Mouquet’s “La Flûte de Pan,” C.P.E. Bach’s “Hamburger Sonata,” Varèse’s seminal “Density 21.5,” Vivaldi’s “Concerto in C Major, RV 443” for piccolo, and Bizet/Borne’s “Carmen Fantasy” in collaboration with Hector Garcia on piano and harpsichord. Torres also serves on faculty at Muskingum University and recently won the second flute/piccolo position with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra?
