Dorothy Sue Huff 1944-2014
Dorothy Sue Huff, 70, died at 10:44 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at the Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio.
She was born on Oct. 19, 1944, in Carver, Kentucky, to Leander and Laura (Watkins) Rowe and they are both deceased.
She was first married to William Douglas Burris and he survives in Harrod, Ohio. She married William H. Huff on Nov. 21, 1992 and he died May 19, 2013.
Mrs. Huff was a homemaker. She was formerly involved in the Alger Memorial Day Committee and was a social member of the Ada VFW Post #9381.
Surviving are one son: Randy (Cathy) Burris of Powell, Ohio; and two daughters, Marlo (Brad) Heffner of Harrod, Ohio and Nikki (fiancé Aerick Jago) Parker of Alger, Ohio. One brother, Stratton (Bonnie) Minix of Alger; 8 grandchildren: Brittany (Zack) Kiernan, Tyler and Collin Burris, Ashley Paige (Kolt) Stauffer, Logan and Austin Heffner, and Kayla and Cameron Parker; and 5 great grandchildren: Carson, Brooklyn, Makenzie, Raelyn and Kason.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Mason Heffner; two brothers, Hargis Rowe and Harlow Rowe and two sisters, Margie Gartside and Betty Mann.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor Randy Davis officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger, Ohio.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and until the time of the service on Wednesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association and/or American Cancer Society.
