Engineering professor coauthors book
Dr. John K. Estell, professor of computer engineering and computer science, is coauthor of the new book, "Engineering Design and the Product Life Cycle: Relating Customer Needs, Societal Values, Business Acumen, and Technical Fundamentals," published by Momentum Press.
The book attempts to answer the question of “What is good design?” by exploring some of the fundamental principles associated with design. It also examines engineering design in a broader context through means of the product life cycle.
Estell wrote the book with Dr. Kenneth J. Reid, of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
