ONU junior Ryan Bruns (Chickasaw/Marion Local) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Bruns led Northern (11-4 overall, 6-2 OAC) to a 2-0 week with victories over No. 25 Baldwin Wallace and Muskingum. He earned the honor for the second time this season.

The junior had career-highs of 41 points and 17 rebounds in the win over Muskingum and had 21 points and 6 rebounds in win at #25 Baldwin Wallace.

Bruns pulled within 74 points of surpassing the 1,000-point plateau and becoming the 38th player in school history to surpass the mark.

Ohio Northern will return to action on Wednesday evening at 7 pm as it hosts Heidelberg at the ONU Sports Center in an OAC matchup.
