Gerald “Jerry” Myers was a pastor
Pastor Gerald “Jerry” Myers, age 78, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Cypress Pointe Health Campus, Englewood, surrounded by his family.
He was born on January 3, 1948, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Harold and Evelyn (Gist) Myers. On December 23, 1967, Jerry married Joyce Shadley and she survives in Harrod.
Jerry was a member of the Grace Gospel Fellowship and pastored in Ohio, Illinois, California, and Michigan. He lived first for God. He was very devoted to his wife and loved his family.
He is survived by 4 children: Christy Myers of Troy, Mandy (Kary) Richardson of Harrod, Andrew (Christina) Myers of Shawnee, and Alex (Brittney) Myers of Lima; and 12 grandchildren: Jade (Zach) Combs, Laken (Godwin) Gabriel, Levi (Cam) Booher, Dustin (Annika) Booher, Sydney (Angelo) Fox, Riley Richardson, Maddie Richardson, Gabe Myers, Gil Myers, Charlotte Myers, Chloe Myers, and Brody Myers; 6 great-grandchildren: Raylin Combs, Cooper Combs, Lettie Fox, Ellis Fox, Lino Fox, and Palmer Fox; and 3 siblings: Cindy Morris, Linda Martin, and Matthew Myers.
He was preceded in death by a son, Nathan Myers; 2 granddaughters: Jordan Richardson & Kadyn Myers; 3 great-grandchildren: A.J. Fox, Crimson and Crue Fox; and 4 siblings: David Myers, Phil Myers, Luann Myers, and Toby Myers.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada, with Pastor Steve Shadley and Pastor Trent Boedicker officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
