John F. Tafe, age 66, died on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 9:45am at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born on November 7, 1950 in Providence, Rhode Island to John F. and Mary C. (Coughlin) Tafe II who preceded him in death. On June 10, 1972 John married Sue C. Hilton and she survives in Ada.
John was a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran who served from 1969 to 1989. After he retired from the Air Force John worked for Proctor & Gamble of Lima, he retired after working 20 years. He loved camping and doing woodworking. He was an avid gun enthusiast. John loved his family and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Lester E. Mumaw II, age 65, died on Wednesday, March 22, at 5:00pm at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born on January 11, 1952 in Lima, Ohio to Lester E. and Betty J. (Plummer) Mumaw who preceded him in death. Lester was previously married to Pamela (Parks) Mumaw. He was engaged to Wendy Porter and she survives in LaFayette.
Lester retired from Northwest Towing in Beaverdam where he had worked as an operations manager. He was a member of the Beaverdam Church of Christ. Lester was the current president of the LaFayette Village Council. He was a member of the Colonial Golf Club. He loved to go camping and enjoyed riding his Harley.
Judy Ann Snyder, age 70, died on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10:50am at her residence in Lima, Ohio.
She was born September 2, 1946 in Harrod, Ohio to Bernard and Ida (Johns) Sherard who preceded her in death.
Judy retired after 43 years from Wilson Sporting Goods, Ada where she worked as a lacer.
She is survived by a daughter: Debbie (Ray) Williams Smith of Lima, Ohio; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; three brothers: Dick (Linda) Sherard of Lima, Charles (Debbie) Sherard of Russells Point and John (Debbie) Sherard of Independence, KY and a sister: Mary Sherard of Lima, Ohio.
The piano recital with Polina Bespalko scheduled for Monday, March 13, in Presser Hall, Snyder Recital Hall, is being rescheduled. More details to follow.
Arlene L. Crozier, 93, died on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 9:37 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada.
She was born on Jan. 16, 1924 in Ada, Ohio, to Fred H. and Edna E. (Packer) Wyss who preceded her in death. On July 17, 1942 Arlene married Howard L. Crozier and he preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 2005 after 63 years of marriage.
