Compiled by Darlene Bowers

Welcome to the Ada Icon’s “Ada Teacher Feature.” Here we share thoughts and insights from local teachers who lift up and inspire our students. Let us lift up and inspire these educators as well.

Today we meet Melissa Gossard, first grade teacher, who shares the words she recalls hearing upon her graduation, “You may not know where you are going, but as long as you spread your wings the wind will carry you.” Thanks, Melissa, for spreading your wings and encouraging and supporting our students to also spread their wings.

The Village Voice: 2015 Ada Consumer Confidence Report now available

The 2015 Ada Consumer Confidence Report, also known as CCR, is now available to the general public.

Making the report available is an annual requirement for compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act for community water systems throughout the country. According to the U.S. EPA, the report “lists the regulated contaminants found in the drinking water…..as well as health effects information.”

The Village passes this information along to its consumers not just to comply with the federal regulations, but also because the administration feels it is important for consumers to know where their drinking water comes from and what affects it.
