Playing at home, the Ada High School softball team dodged the rain long enough to run-rule visiting Kalida 11-1 in a non-league contest Wednesday evening, April 10.

Vim and vinegar: Health benefits

Vim and vinegar is a malapropism for the expression vim and vigor, which is a large amount of vitality and energy.  A malapropism is when a word is used by mistake in place of a similar sounding word.  In this case, vinegar for vigor.

Vinegars are the result of fermentation, giving the liquid its distinct smell. The use of vinegar has been recorded as far back as the third century BC. The key component to vinegar solutions is acetic acid. White vinegar is 5-10% acetic acid compared to apple cider vinegar, which is 5-6% acetic acid.

The 6th annual Super Bowl battle of Ada organizations is an evening of fellowship, fun and games hosted by the Ada Rotary Club:

Norada Lanes, Ada

Dedicated to the Memory of Kevin Mierzejewski (1961-2018). Activities include 50/50 raffle tickets. All proceeds benefit Ada Rotary community projects and scholarships.

Registration is $125 per team, for a team of four bowlers. This includes three games of bowling, shoes, a large pizza and a pitcher of pop.

Ohio Northern University Music presents a guest artist recital featuring Ioana Missits, violin and Laura Silverman, piano. The concert at Presser Hall is free and open to the public.
