Paint your own beach scene

The next PaintINN at The Inn at Ohio Northern University will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, with Marilyn Reed as instructor.

July's picture will be a beach scene that someone can sit on their porch. Cost is $38 plus tax and gratuity.

USV to host play

The Hardin County Players will present "Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon" on July 14-16 and 21-23 at USV high school cafeteria.

Performances on Fridays and Saturdays begin at 7 p.m. Curtain time on Sundays is 3 p.m. 

Tickets are $7. Children through 12th grade are admitted free. The Players website is: hcplayers.org.

Ada Varsity Singers present show

The ever-popular Ada Varsity Singers are having a camp at the school this week which will culminate in a public performance on Friday.

After working 10-hour days all week on song and dance routines, the award-winning Varsity Singers will present their 2017-18 show for the first time before an audience. 

Time and place: 7 p.m. on Friday in the school auditorium.

NW Ohio Antique Machinery show turns back the clock Aug. 3-6

The 46th annual Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Show is set for Thursday, Aug. 3, through Sunday, Aug. 6, at the Hancock County Fairgrounds.

Several area residents are involved in the show.

Jumbo Jamboree coming Thursday and Friday

Community Health Professionals throw a party

It's a Jumbo Jamboree for young and old alike on Thursday and Friday at Community Health Professionals, 1200 S. Main. And, it's all free.

From 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. both days, there will be a bounce house, 4H animal exhibit, face painting, chair massages by FABrehab, kettle corn, book sale, and a chance to win pizza.

Food trucks will be there, too: Harry's Hut, Kona Ice, The Gyro Corner.

Summer youth tennis program

July 10-12

The Ada Community Tennis association will hold its 11th annual summer youth tennis program on July 10-12. Registration forms are available at the Ada Pool, Ada Library, Liberty Bank, and Quest Bank and by e-mailing Scott Wills ([email protected]). 

The program is for kids ages 4 and up and no tennis experience is needed. Ages 4-6 will play from 5:30 - 6:15, Ages 7-10 from 5:30 - 6:30, and ages 11 and up from 6:30 - 7:30.
