$1,425 check given to Boots for Bulldogs

The Ada High School class of 1963 did it again.

Class members from the AHS graduating class of 1963 donated $1,425 to the Boots for Bulldogs campaign to help secure the doors and place placards at each door of the Ada schools.

The presentation was made on Aug. 31, to Kristin Purdy, one of the three persons spearheading the fundraiser.  She said she would like to challenge other classes to do the same.

In 2013 the class collected over $8,400 to pay for and have the brick patio installed on the south side of the school, east of the cafeteria entrance.

Coming to Harvest and Herb Fest'

Persons attending the Sept. 15 Ada Harvest and Herb Festival are in for an entertaining musical treat. Lori Fithian brings Drummunity to the fest' with a 1 p.m. performance in the depot park.  Drummunity is an interactive program for all kinds of groups. It’s not a “show” to sit back and watch. Everyone participates - from 10 to 400 or more people - all playing together. Using hand drums, percussion, and simple drum circle games, Fithian creates a positive, non-competitive experience for people of all ages and abilities to share. Ada Public Library sponsors Drummunity.
