Jennifer Heise was an Allen East graduate

Jennifer M. Heise, 47, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at 11:03 a.m. at her residence in Lima.

She was born on June 8, 1972, in Lima to Harry and Dianna (Cordes) Heise who survive in Harrod.  

Jennifer was a medical transcriptionist.  She was a 1990 graduate of Allen East High School and a 1994 graduate of Lima Technical College.

She is also survived by a brother, Perry (Kelly) Heise of Harrod; a sister, Melissa (Companion, Rollie) Heise of Larchmont, New York; three nephews: Isaac (Becky) Heise, Harry Silverman, and Jack Silverman; a niece, Kelsey (Fiance Cody Long) Heise; and her dog, Maggie Rae; and bird, Chattie Bird.

Junior C. Conley was a U.S. Navy veteran

Junior C. Conley,  72, died on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, at 2:30 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada.

He was born on Aug. 29, 1946, in Hardin County, Ohio, to L.T. and Martha (Elwood) Conley who preceded him in death. 

Junior was a loader at Provico Grain Elevator. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1965-1967. 

Junior is survived by two sons: Chuck (Wathusiri) Conley of Shawnee and David (Traci) Bitler of Westminster; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers: Anthony “Tony” Conley of Lima and Loyd (Debra) Conley of McGuffey; and a sister: Ruth (Paul) Lawrence of Ada. 

Ann Piper 1930 - 2019

Annis L. “Ann” Piper, 88, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, at 5:30 a.m. at Lima Manor.

She was born on Aug.17, 1930, in Hindman, Kentucky, to the late Willis and Della (Cox) Conley.  Ann married Waldo Oglesbee and he preceded her in death on April 1, 1960. She later married Paul Piper and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2004.

Ann was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Alger Assembly of God Church. 

Funeral service on Monday for Bonnie Counts

Bonnie Marie Counts, 77, died on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at 6:33 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada, surrounded by her loving children.

She was born on June 29, 1942, in Salyersville, Kentucky, to Chub and Audrey (Holiday) Wireman who preceded her in death. On March 3, 1962, Bonnie married Richard L. “Dick” Counts and he preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 2018.

Joyce Zimmerly was a retired secretary at Allen East HS

C. Joyce Zimmerly, age 81, died on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019, at 10:10 p.m. at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

Joyce was born on Dec. 31, 1937, in Allen County, Ohio, to Ralph G. and Marian J. (Lyle) McElwain who preceded her in death. On Sept. 25, 1955 she married Glenn Eugene “Gene” Zimmerly and he preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 2013.

Funeral service Saturday for Ada native Raymond McClure

Raymond E. McClure, 80, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, died on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at his home.

He was born on Aug. 14, 1938, in Ada, Ohio, to the late Ray and Helen (Doersam) McClure.  Raymond was employed at United Telephone as a Senior Analyst and retired after 42 years of service. 

He was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Ada.  He was also a member of the Mount Vernon Jaycees and the Colonial City Moose Lodge #2555.  Raymond was also very involved with Mount Vernon Girls' Softball.
