ONU Polar Robotics team competes

The ONU Polar Robotics team participated in the Xtreme BOTS competition in Dayton on Saturday, making it to the round of 16 and winning $1,000 for best documentation.

Baldwin Wallace wins in men's tennis

BEREA — Sophomore David Hayman(Westerville/South) won at No. 2 singles to lead the Ohio Northern men's tennis team in an 8-1 loss at Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday at the Pop Collins Tennis Courts.

The Polar Bears fall to 10-8 overall and are 2-4 in the Ohio Athletic Conference and the Yellow Jackets improve to 15-2, 5-1.

Softball splits with Baldwin Wallace

ADA -- Freshman Gabby Stewart (Union, Ky./St. Henry) drilled the first two home runs of her collegiate career to lead Ohio Northern to an Ohio Athletic Conference softball split with Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday afternoon at the ONU Softball Field.

The Polar Bears (23-9 overall, 9-5 OAC) won the nightcap 8-0 after the Yellow Jackets (11-18-1, 4-9-1) won the opener 2-0.

In our quick trip you’ll notice lots of reds, pinks and in-between shades as trees put on their spring robes. In a few weeks lots more blooming things will catch our attention.

Bluffton Hospital opens Pelvic Pain Center

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) has officially opened the Pelvic Pain Center part of The Women’s Center of Bluffton Hospital, a new expansion and renovation project.

The Pelvic Pain Center is located in the hospital at at 139 Garau St.

“The team at the Pelvic Pain Center is made up of highly experienced specialists who will evaluate patient’s symptoms and develop an individualized treatment plan to eliminate or reduce pain,” explained Chris Keller, chief administrative officer, Bluffton Hospital.

Blanchard Valley Hospital's Vascular Lab Receives Reaccreditation

Blanchard Valley Hospital's (BVH) Vascular Laboratory has been reaccredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). The vascular lab uses non- invasive ultrasound testing to help diagnose a variety of vascular conditions.

This accreditation recognizes labs that provide a high level of patient care and quality testing when diagnosing vascular disease. To receive accreditation, BVH underwent detailed evaluations of facility operations and a comprehensive application process. The accreditation is valid for three years.
