Richland Manor's fifth annual Friday Night Cruise-In is Friday, June 22, from 4 to 7 p.m., according to Barry Schneck.

The event includes food, entertainment and door prizes.

"Please bring a non-perishable food item as a donation to our yearly independence from Hunger food drive. The proceeds will go to local food banks," said Schneck.

The cruise-in includes dozens of antique and muscle vehicles. Richland Manor is at 7400 Swaney Road, Bluffton. For more details, contact Schneck at 419-643-3161.

There is still time for high school students to register for many of the outstanding summer camp courses provided through Ohio Northern University's Summer Academic and Honors Institute (SAHI). 

With sessions running June 17-22 and June 24-29, there is sure to be the perfect course for any intellectually curious high school student who wants to do something this summer.

Explore forensic science, physics, chemistry, entrepreneurship, statistics, herbal medicine, mock trial, young women's leadership, and art and design in the week-long camps.

How's your bike riding skills? Can you ride in a circle without crossing the line? Can you ride as slow as you can in a straight line without going too far to the left or right? How do you function on the obstacle course?

Those questions sound easy, but just try them. Lots of Ada's youth tried and succeeded during Saturday's bicycle rodeo. The event, held behind the police station was sponsored by the Ada Police, fire and rescue.

Jean C. Fultz, age 93, Friday, June 01, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Kenton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Kenton, Ohio.

She was born March 3, 1919 in McGuffey, Ohio to Lawrence and Virginia (Dunson) Shrider and both are deceased. She married Vernon Fultz on September 18, 1937 and he died May 28, 1993.

CLAREMONT, Calif. — Ohio Northern senior Dan Smith finished 10th in the 1,500-meter run on the final day of the NCAA III Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships Saturday afternoon at Burns Field on the campus of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps colleges.

Smith finished a slow race in 3:58.29, missing All-America honors by just .48 of a second.

He qualified for the finals with a 3:52.87 in the prelims on Thursday, which was the ninth-fastest prelim time.

His NCAA qualifying effort of 3:50.00 was the fifth fastest time in the nation this season.

Ohio Northern senior Cory Bailey finished 17th out of 20 runners in the 800-meter run on a chilly, breezy Friday night at the NCAA III Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships Thursday night at Burns Field on the campus of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges.

Bailey finished fifth in his heat in 1:53.87 and finished just .35 of a second away from qualifying for Saturday's finals.

Bailey entered the meet seeded 20th.

"I was nervous at first," Bailey said. "But once I got started, I just went with it and had a blast. It was a great experience and something I will always remember. I'm happy with the performance, too."

Ohio Northern senior Dan Smith qualified for the finals in the 1,500-meter run on the first day of the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships Thursday afternoon at Burn Stadium.

Smith finished fifth out of 10 in his heat with a time of 3:52.87.

He was the ninth-fastest in the two qualifying races, as 12 of the 20 runners qualified for the finals Saturday at 4:30 pm (7:30 pm EST).

"It was a good race and I'm into the finals, which was my only goal," Smith said. "It was a slow heat and I expect the finals to be the same way. I felt good and I am excited about the finals on Saturday.

The top eight in each event earn All-America honors.

Ohio Northern junior Alison Steinbrunner earned All-America honors with a third place finish in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships Thursday night at Burns Field.

Steinbrunner finished third out of 20 runners in 35:52.37 to earn her first All-America honors in the event.

Steinbrunner is now a three-time All-American, earning the honor in cross country, the Indoor 5,000-meter run and the Outdoor 10,000-meter run this season.

She stayed with the lead pack until just the final few laps and easily finished in the top eight, as the top eight in each event at the Championships earn All-America honors.
