The Voices of Ohio
Benefit Concert for
Ada First United Methodist Church
July 28 at 7:00 p.m.

March 13 was a day of shock and change for Ada First United Methodist Church
when the members’ beloved church burned down.  Two members of this
congregation, Melanie Woods and Michele Elliott, are also members of The
Voices of Ohio, an exciting and dynamic adult performing vocal ensemble.

To help Ada First, the ensemble has volunteered to perform a benefit concert
on July 28 at 7:00 in the Ada School Auditorium.

AEP Ohio has restored power to approximately 98 percent of the approximately 660,000 customers affected by the catastrophic storm that moved through the state June 29 and the additional customers who lost power in subsequent storms July 4 and 5.

As of 8 p.m. tonight (July 8), power has been restored to approximately 646,000 of the customers affected by these storms. Approximately 14,000 AEP Ohio customers remain without power tonight.

The majority of the customers still without power are located in the Columbus, Newark and Athens service areas.

If anyone watches college football, many would agree that the sport is fun to watch, with all of the upsets and great matchups. But, one would also know that it can be frustrating at times as well, especially if your team was not selected by a hand full of computers to play in the National Title Game.

University presidents and Notre Dame approved a playoff system, set to take place for the beginning of the 2014 football season, on June 27. This playoff system would pin the four best schools against each other in two semi-final games. Then the winners of the semi-finals would go on to play in the National Title Game.
