The Kenton Hardin Health Department is reporting its 27th confirmed case of COVID-19. It is also able to report two new recoveries at this time.

There will be a special Board of Health meeting on Tuesday, May 12, at 4 p.m., held via Webex and will be on the department'sFacebook Live for the public.

Three years ago the Icon posted a video created by Bill Suter on his journey flying over Big Riley Creek from Bluffton to Pandora.

Suter returns with this encore video showing Little Riley. It was created about a month ago, just before threes started to obscure the creek. 

The Ohio corona virus lock down was in place so there is little traffic on this video, even on a late Friday afternoon, says Suter.

The Icon captured several screen shots along the way, shown below. 

In cooperation with Ada schools, the Ada Icon will post each of the Ada High School class of 2020 seniors in the spotlight. McKenzie Long is today's senior in the spotlight.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office recently was notified that the Public Safety Answering Point, 9-1-1-Center (PSAP) has achieved full compliance with the State of Ohio’s 9-1-1- Program Office’s regulations.

Sheriff Keith Everhart specifically acknowledged Emily Roy, communications coordinator and Ashley Bodine, terminal agency coordinator, for overseeing this division of the department.

Construction on Lincoln Avenue, Ada, requires ONU HealthWise Pharmacy customers to rethink their travel routes to the pharmacy. Detour signs are posted to assist customers find the parking lot. 

The pharmacy hours are Mondays to Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

John Estell
John K. Estell, professor of computer engineering and computer science at Ohio Northern University, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). 

May 15 due date for all new assignments • May 18-28 enrichment and make-up work

Instructional Plan
We developed this instructional plan to address all students but especially those who need additional support. 

• May 15th will be the final due date for all new assignments. 
• From May 18th until May 28th, teachers will work with students to get any missing assignments made-up.

Two Ada High School seniors, Kendal Guagenti and Isaac Spar, are recognized with other Hardin County seniors Kenton Elks teens of the year.

Isaac Spar’s school activities include soccer, swim team, tennis team, varsity quiz bowl team, high school band, National Honor Society. He is the son of Don and Amy Spar.

Kendal Guagenti’s school activities include student council president, senior class president, National Honor Society, volleyball captain, Film Club president, tennis team and Ethics Bowl. She is the daughter of Kim and Francis Guagenti.
