In June of 1978, the rock band Foreigner released their second studio album titled Double Vision. One of the singles on this album was Hot Blooded, which was certified as platinum. The album was released by Atlantic. Foreigner is one of the top-selling bands in the world with record sales exceeding 80 million, and they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on October 19, 2024.
Laura J. Nuttle, age 63, of Ada, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
She was born on March 19, 1962, to the late Franklin R. and Avanell J. (Kindle) Brace. Laura married Neal Nuttle, and he survives in Ada.
Laura is also survived by her daughter, Emily Gore; a grandchild, Ripley; and a brother, Steven (Carole) Brace.
Laura worked as a vet tech for Ada Animal Hospital. She previously worked at Ohio Northern University, Ada, as a secretary in the Law Library. Laura was an animal lover, and especially loved her dogs.

In the December 16 Ada varsity boys basketball game vs. New Knoxville, Bulldog Zack Zimmerman (#3) broke the school record for career 3-point shooting.
Zimmerman currently has 95 triples, which breaks the record previously held by Bulldog Owen Conley.
Conley graduated in 2017 and played football and basketball for Ada.
ADA–The Ada High School boys basketball team lost a 39-38 barnburner to visiting non-conference foe New Knoxville on Tuesday, December 16.
Playing their second straight one-point game, the Bulldogs ended up on the short end of the score after winning the last time. NK rallied to outscore Ada 12-6 in the fourth quarter, pulling off the road upset.

Ron and Patsy Evans will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Dec. 23. The couple was married in 1955 at the First United Methodist Church of Ada. After their wedding, they went to the Kewpee in Lima, Ohio, and had hamburgers.
Patsy graduated from Ada High School, and Ron graduated from Vaughnsville. He worked at ONU as a math professor and she worked as a Head Start teacher and then as an assistant at Snyder, Alge and Welch law firm in Ada.
Robert E. “Bob” Klingler, age 87, of Ada, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on April 18, 1938, in Ada, Ohio, to the late Keith and Annabelle (Routt) Klingler. On December 18, 1955, Bob married Patricia K. “Pat” (Gilbert) Klingler, and she preceded him in death on July 9, 2022.
The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Holiday Happy Hour at the Regal Beagle during Third Thursday, December 18, from 5:00–7:00 p.m.
The festive gathering will take the place of the regular monthly membership meeting. Director Lindsay Hollar says, this is "a great opportunity to relax, connect with fellow members, and enjoy some holiday cheer in a casual setting.
"We hope you’ll stop by to celebrate the season, network with friends and colleagues, and enjoy everything Third Thursday has to offer downtown.
