I started the Irish Iron Memorial Fund 3 years ago when my husband, TJ Griffin, was killed on his motorcycle on April 9, 2023 (Easter Day). A dual-rear-wheel truck backed out of a driveway in front of him on a country road. He hit the truck so hard that he knocked it off its axle.

We are a non-profit organization made up of four board members. We have done several fundraisers. You may have seen me set up at the F&M Picnic or Harvest & Herb Festival in Ada. Each year, around October, we have a ride/party in honor of TJ.

Simon & Garfunkel released their single Homeward Bound on January 19, 1966 and it peaked at number 5 on the U.S. charts in March. The song was written by Paul Simon while he was touring in the United Kingdom. He was waiting for a train at the Widnes railway station when he was working on the song. The railway station has a plaque commemorating this accomplishment. Simon & Garfunkel were inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
