On Saturday, November 8, Ada High School hosted the 48th annual Ada Music Feast, a show choir competition and collaboration by Ada students, teachers and community members. Ten schools participated in performances from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
FROM FACEBOOK__Ohio Northern hosted its annual Veterans Day ceremony to honor those who were willing to risk their lives in the name of freedom and their country. Ada Schools hosted the annual breakfast for local veterans and their families.

The saying “no pain, no gain” has roots in ancient Greece, when Sophocles wrote “there’s no success without pain” in his play Electra. In 1758, Ben Franklin published a book title The Way to Wealth and penned the statement, “there are no gains, without pains.” The saying took on new meaning with the aerobics craze of the 1980s when Jane Fonda’s videos pushed you to “feel the burn.”
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 300 E. Highland, will host its Annual Bazaar on November 17 with dine in or carryout melas available.
Lunch 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Dinner 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Items for purchase will include homemade Buckeyes and Chocolate Covered Cherries, Peanut Brittle and Pumpkin Rolls. There will be 50/50 tickets and a Theme Basket Raffle.
Ada, Ohio resident Luke Gross was sentenced to 6-9 years in prison by Allen County Common Pleas Court Judge Terri Kohlrieser on Friday, November 7. Gross was convicted of aggravated robbery, with charges coming from a July 2025 Circle K gas station robbery in Lima.
The Lima News reported that the gas station cashier was threatened with a large screwdriver by a man in a black mask. Gross was found riding a bicycle and carrying the items stolen from the scene.
The following performances have been announced for the Snyder Recital Hall on the campus of Ohio Northern University. These events are free and open to the public.

Featuring toe-tapping music with high-energy rhythms, this program is full of a variety of timbres and colors for percussion, and popular songs from the islands and the radio. Many pieces are written by alumni with a feature by Nate Hall on Chinese drums, and Elijah Kszmaul, conducting.
