Ohio Northern women's golf preview

2022 ONU women's golf fall schedule

After nearly winning a second straight Ohio Athletic Conference championship last season, the Ohio Northern women's golf team returns a bevy of talent as they try to reclaim that crown in 2022-23 under 10th-year head coach Chad Bucci.

"We finished last year on a disappointing note, but I couldn't have been any prouder with the season we had overall," Bucci said. "I believe that with the experience gained by the underclassmen last year, we're going to be even better than what we were last season."

Hardin County Road 10 closed between SR 235 and TR 55

The Hardin County Engineer has announced that starting August 29, the following road closure will take place:

  • Couty Road 10 between State Route 235 (west) and Townshp Road 55 (east)

The road will be closed for 2-3 weeks for culvert replacements.

Drug Take Back & Shred A Thon on Sept. 20

This drug disposal event is free and open to the public. Please bring items in sealed bags.

Shredding is free and open to anyone living in the community.

  • Accepted medications are over-the-counter pills, prescription medicine, including opioids.
  • NOT ACCEPTED: needles and liquids

Items to shred include personal documents, check stubs, credit card offers, receipts, paper items containing personal info

Sept. 6 Community Meal at Beatitudes

Beatitudes Community Center will serve a special community meal:

  • Ham & Beans with Cornbread
  • Dine-in or carry-out
  • Tuesday, September 6
  • 4:00-5:30 p.m.

First day of (dance) school

Today's the day: Studio 419 will begin teaching dance classes at 301 N Main St.,--ballet, combo tap/ballet, hip-hop, modern, pointe and tap--including and adult tap class. Students will range in age from 3 to 69.

The Icon visited with instructors Samantha Beck and Shaina Phillips at the studio's open house on Saturday, August 20, when they met with famlies to discuss what type of dance their children are interested in and the clothes and shoes needed for class. The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce board also celebrated the new business opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
