The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance will host the second annual student job and career fair from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, at Kenton High School Gym.
Schools participating include Ada, Hardin Northern, Kenton, Ridgemont, Riverdale and Upper Scioto Valley. Nearly 500 graduating seniors will have the opportunity to apply for part-time and full-time positions, as well as summer jobs and internships

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — The Ohio Northern wrestling team opened the Lycoming (Pa.) National Duals with a 23-12 loss to the College of New Jersey on Friday morning and a 30-12 loss to No. 18-ranked Wesleyan (Conn.) Fridayafternoon at the Lamade Gymnasium.
The Polar Bears (5-7 overall) will now wrestle Oswego State (N.Y.) at 4:30 pm on Friday to compete Pool C round-robin competition.
Senior Gavin Nelson (Oregon/Clay) picked up a 4-2 decision at 157 and senior Alex Bair(Centerville) won by 6-1 decision at 184 pounds for Ohio Northern against the Lions (6-2).
A total of 15 teams of undergraduate college students from various schools in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan are scheduled to participate in a mock trial competition at ONU on Saturday andSunday. The students will try a criminal case involving a charge of attempted murder.
Each team must prepare for both prosecution and defense. Many of the students plan to attend law college following graduation. They were given the cases in August and have been preparing since then.
Nancy Lou Kellum, age 71, died on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 9:18 a.m. at her residence in Alger.
She was born on September 26, 1946 in Monroe County, West Virginia to the late Hobart and Sallie (Taylor) Weikle. Nancy was previously married to Thomas Ray Kellum, Sr. and he preceded her in death.
Nancy retired from Associated Plastics of Ada. She was a member of the Ada Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of God.
ADA — Due to inclement weather in the forecast, the Ohio Northern men's and women's basketball contests on Saturday, Jan. 13 against Muskingum have each been pushed back.
The men's basketball contest against Muskingum at the ONU Sports Center has been moved back to 6 pm, while the women's basketball contest at Muskingum has also been pushed back to 6 pm.
