ADA - The Ada girls soccer team rallied to defeat visiting Lincolnview 4-3 in a Northwest Conference match Monday evening.

The first Bulldog home victory of 2017 improved their record to 3-9 overall, and evened their NWC mark at 2-2. The Lancers fell to 1-11 and 0-5 in the NWC with the defeat.

Ada trailed 3-1 but scored two goals late in the first half to tie it. The Bulldogs then tallied the go-ahead score with 10 minutes left and held on to snap a four-match losing skid.

HARROD - The visiting Ada volleyball team swept a surprisingly one-sided makeup match at backyard rival Allen East in Northwest Conference play Monday night.

The Lady Bulldogs won 25-20, 25-10, 25-14 to improve to 11-7 overall and stay atop the NWC at 5-0. AE fell to 9-2 and 4-2 in the NWC with the loss.

The Lady Bulldogs have now won 13 consecutive league matches.

Ada senior Melina Woods knocked down 22 kills, made five digs and added four blocks to pace the victors.

Now that's one mean Bulldog trying to chew up anything and everything while the crowning of the king and queen takes place. Columbus Grove football players were shaking in their boots watching this tough guy. The 4-month-old Elsie belongs to Bo and Shaylin Ledley. Enjoying the pup's antics are junior attendants Avary Acheson and Derek Dennis.
