Was legal secretary for Charles VanDyne Law Office for over 50 years

Marilyn Green, 83, died on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at 1:34 p.m. at Community Hospital South Emergency Room in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was born on Sept. 7, 1934, in Logan County, Ohio to Howard G. and Doris M. (Cronkleton) Elliott who preceded her in death.

She was formerly married to Max Green and he survives in Bellefontaine.

Marilyn worked as a legal secretary for Charles VanDyne Law Office in Ada for over 50 years.

She formerly was a co-owner and ran the Ada Dairy Queen that later became Green Dairy in Ada from 1957-1977.

In 1972 she became a co-owner of the Ada Dairy.

KALIDA - Several members of the Ada cross country teams recorded career-best times at the Kalida Invitational Saturday morning.

 

"The weather and course were on the side of the Ada cross country team Saturday," said Bulldog head coach Josh Klein.

 

"Almost all of our runners set their personal-best for the season, with Nora Dellifield breaking a new personal record she set during the 2016 season.

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Ian McVey (Stow/Munroe Falls) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of Sept. 25-Oct. 1.

The junior earned the honor for the second time this season.

McVey posted a historic effort for the men's cross country team at the All-Ohio Championships last weekend.

For the first time in school history, Northern saw a men's cross country runner take the individual title at the All-Ohio Championships as McVey won the race in a season-low 25:14.

McVey led Northern to a first place finish as a team at the championships.

Penny E. (Amstutz) Mumma, age 69 years young of Ada, Ohio went to be with Lord ending her pain on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Lima Memorial Health System, with her family at her side after a lengthy illness. 

Penny was born on March 12, 1948 in Bluffton, Ohio, the daughter of Carl L. and LaVaun B. (Weaver) Amstutz, both of whom preceded her in death. 

Penny married Ray F. Mumma on March 16, 1968 and he survives in Ada. 

She attended Beaverdam Elementary-High School Beaverdam, OH and graduated from Bluffton High School, Bluffton, OH in 1966.
