The Sew What 4-H Club and the Hardin County Homemakers invite Icon viewers to the Hardin County  4-H  Fashion Revue.

It is from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 19, at the Ada First United Methodist Church. Hardin County 4-H members will model their clothing and textile construction and consumer projects.

Ada HS schedule pick up is Thursday. Here’s the schedule:

• 7-8th grade from 8:00-10 a.m., 

• 9-10th grade from 10:00-noon

• 11-12th grade from 1:00-3 p.m.

All students need a completed Emergency Medical Form and 7th and 12th graders need proof of required immunizations.

Among the candidates for this year's little prince and princess of the F&M Picnic are Riece Clark, Maudie Decker, Kaylee Watson, Kyleigh Watson and Kendell Fisher. The welcome, flag raising, and crowning of the little prince and princess will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the main stage in Ada War Memorial Park.

More than 1,000 people expected to attend

More than a thousand people are expected to attend the F&M Picnic Truck and Tractor Pull at War Memorial Park on Saturday.

The first session begins at  10 a.m., the second at 6:30 p.m. Gates open at 8 a.m. Food vendors will be available. Cost is $10, children 10 and under $5, veterans and seniors free.

Chris Vermillion is president of the Hardin County Pullers. About $2,000 will be given out to winners of the first session; about $12,000 in prize money for the second session winners.

Ada Schools staff meet prior to the opening of another year. The annual open house will be from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday. Classes begin at 8:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15.
