A new Bible study, prayer course will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Sundays from July 22 through Aug. 26 at the Ada First United Methodist Church, 301 N. Main. All are welcome.
Ken Collins camera caught some of the activity at the Ada/Kenton “fun swim meet” on Monday evening at the Ada Pool. Some of the events included the "corkscrew," the "doggie paddle," and the "dolphin" swim styles. Contestants also vied for the title of biggest splash. The winner was FUN since there were no timers or regular judges.
There's always something new - or, old, with a new look - being created at Fine Touch Furniture and Upholstry, Ada. Here's a custom-built ottoman, recently completed, with two different fabrics. Dan Garver shows the final project. Additional photos in this series show the ottoman in early phases. Photos from Fine Touch Facebook. Fine Touch Furniture and Upholstery is located at 153 N. Johnson St.

What do these words describe? Cutting, shoe, fairy, tea, recycle, herbs, memory, annual, perennial. They are types of gardens, all of which are found at the home of Deb and Van Curlis whose two-acre spread will be part of the Findlay Garden Club’s 2018 garden tour this coming weekend.
Deb, who is the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce director, and her husband, Van, a homebuilder, live on the southeast side of McComb. (Directions to their home are found later in this article.)
Garden tour hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 14 and 1-5 p.m. Sunday, July 15.
