The Cadets concluded their two week stay in Ada with a free Thank You show for the public Thursday evening at Dial-Roberson Stadium. The program “The Unity Project” is the title of this year’s show put on by 154 musicians age 15-22 from throughout the U.S. and internationally. In addition, there are about 65 instructional staff and volunteers here, as well. MORE PHOTOS ARE HERE!

ONU junior running back Christiaan Williams (Sidney/Anna) has been named to the Street & Smith Magazine Preseason First Team All-American team and the Lindy's Sports Preseason Second Team All-American Team for the upcoming 2018 season.

 

Williams, a 2017 AFCA All-American and AP Little All-American Team member, joined Mount Union's D'Angelo Fulford, Justin Hill and Louis Berry to be named to the preseason All-America teams from the Ohio Athletic Conference on the Street & Smith All-America Teams.

To give a dog a forever home, contact the Hardin County dog shelter. It is located at 49 Jones Road on the west side of Kenton.

Hours: 9 am to 4 pm on Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Phone: 419-674-2209.

Generally, about 20 to 25 dogs are available for viewing.

The shelter is also the place to contact for giving up a dog, if you find a lost or stray dog, or if you come in contact with a vicious dog. It costs $20 to surrender a dog, which pays for deworming and immunizations for when it is rescued.

The Inn at ONU, 401 W. College Ave., Ada, presents an evening of Craft Beer and BBQ on Thursday, July 19, at 5:30 p.m.

The event takes place in the garden courtyard (weather permitting). Five craft beer samplings from Fat Head’s Brewing along with great food will be served.

The event features guest speaker Downtown Danny from Fat Head’s Brewing, live music yard games and much more.

Advanced ticket purchase is required. Please call 419-772-4112. Tickets are $30 per person and includes tax and gratuity.
