Celebrating two 1974 AHS state champion teams: boys mile and 880 meter relays

On Saturday, May 4, the Ada High School athletic department commemorated the 50th anniversary of two remarkable achievements in school track and field history. Amidst the day’s Ada Invitational track and field event and a packed War Memorial Park, the school celebrated the team members and their coaches in ceremonies at War Memorial Stadium.

Kathy Ann Brown taught at Van Buren Schools

Kathy Ann Brown, age 49, of Lima, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 4:12 p.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. 

Ada gone green

Ada's West Lincoln Ave. is now a lush green leading drivers from Main Street to the campus of Ohio Northern University. The university has been recognized as a Tree Campus USA since 2009.

May 7 Tornado Watch

The US National Weather Service Wilmington OH Office has issued a Tornado Watch for an area including Ada for the evening of May 7, and until 1:00 a.m. on May 8.

OhioHealth Hardin Memorial funds 18,000 food bank meals

KENTON __ OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital has announced a donation to the West Ohio Food Bank of $3,000 that will provide the equivalent of 18,000 meals. It’s the latest effort from OhioHealth to support the food bank.
