The Ada Youth Wrestling Club will hold wrestling sign-ups on the following evenings:
Tuesday, Oct. 20 - 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 22 - 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 25 - 6:30 -8 p.m
Sign-up in is the Ada wrestling Bbuilding, located in brown building in front of school bus garage.

This is for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. All experience levels, from beginner to advanced, are welcome to participate The club accepts boys and girls from Ada and all surrounding communities.
The Mercantile, 117 S. Main St., offers lots of fall seasonal items. As its sign proclaims "Harvest and Herb Fest at the Mercantile - pumpkin decore and sale items." And, it now offers custom order apparel including Jerzees, Bella + Canvas and District brands. Kylie Colwell, an Ada High School senior, is the Icon October artist of the month.
This fall she is enrolled in Art 4 and has taken Art 1, 2 and 3.
She is currently working on her art portfolio to prepare for art school admissions. In addition to visual arts, she has been involved in dance for 14 years.
Gary Wells, Ada HS art teacher said, “Kylie is a naturally gifted artist whose attention to detail has always been superior.”
Kylie's own art comments follow: "This piece (in the photo) is a stylized still-life painting of things I found around the classroom that I made for my college portfolio.
The village of Ada invites residents interested in serving on its village council to notify the village of their interest by Friday, Oct. 23.
A vacancy occurred with the Oct. 5 death of Don Fleming, who served on Ada council for 39 years. Fleming was first elected in the early 1980s. He has served as a council member longer than any other person in the village, at least in recent history. He served at one time or another on each of the council committees. In 2019 he was Ada council president.
The position is a mid-term council seat vacancy. Qualified residents interested in filling the seat are asked to submit a letter of interest by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 23.
For the fourth year, Bluffton and Ada Icons received re-accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, serving West Central Ohio, according to Fred Steiner, owner. The Icons joined BBB in 2017.
Businesses meeting Better Business Bureau ethical standards may be invited to become accredited, and these firms provide the financial support which allows BBB to offer services to communities at no charge.
Bulldog girls blank Jefferson By Cort Reynolds
DELPHOS - The visiting Ada girls soccer team defeated Delphos Jefferson 1-0 in a defensive Northwest Conference battle Monday evening.
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 4-11 overall and 2-4 in the NWC with the regular-season ending win. The Lady Wildcats dropped to 4-9-1 (2-3-1 NWC) with the defeat.
Bulldog Ella Marshall scored the game's lone goal off a long throw-in during the first half. After the in-bounds pass came into play, the ball bounced around and Marshall tapped it into the goal off an assist from Kylie Shafer.
