Wanda G. Dodds, 81, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at 1:07 p.m. at Shawnee Manor, Lima.
She was born on April 9, 1939, in Lima, Ohio, to Robert Wright and Ruth Uteva (Gossard) Calverty who preceded her in death. On Dec. 25, 1964, Wanda married Ronald E. Dodds and he survives in LaFayette.
Wanda was a Christian and a homemaker. She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church of LaFayette.

DOLA - Host Hardin Northern reeled off 12 straight points in the final two minutes to rally past county foe Ada 41-33 in a tough non-conference boys basketball Saturday night showdown.
The Bulldogs held the lead for almost the entire final three periods, but lost their fourth close heartbreaker of the season due to the 12-0 HN closing rush.
HN junior Nevin Robson started the decisive finishing spurt with a baseline runner to inch the hosts within 33-31 as 1:31 remained to play. Luke Wilson then splashed a right side trifecta that put Northern on top 34-33 with 1:15 to play.

RAWSON - The visiting Ada girls basketball team rallied late but came up short at local foe Cory-Rawson 59-51 in a non-league contest Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Bulldogs fell behind 12-5 after the first period and trailed 31-21 at intermission.
Aided by early purple and gold turnovers, C-R extended its lead to 46-32 after three quarters.
Ada rallied to outscore the Hornets 19-11 in the final stanza as sophomore playmaker Courtney Sumner poured in 12 of her season-high 23 points.
The Bulldog girls record dropped to 3-9 overall with the defeat. Meanwhile, the Lady Hornets improved to 9-5 after the victory.

ROSSFORD - The Ada varsity wrestling team finished ninth out of 11 teams Saturday at the Jim McCumber Invitational hosted by Rossford.
Edison won the event with 339 points, far ahead of second-place Vermilion (182.5).
Ada tallied 48 points to beat Toledo Christian, Findlay and Sylvania Southview.
Bulldog senior Colton Biederman went 3-1 with two decisions and a pin. He won the third-place tournament bout with a shutout decision in the 120 lbs. weight bracket over Mickalos Takacs of Monroeville, 2-0.
