You'll need a personal calendar to keep track of everything going on in Ada this fall
It looks like Ada residents are in for a very interesting fall filled with many activities. While many of these events are still in the planning stages, here’s a preview of September to early December coming Ada attractions (there's lots more event not listed here, but you'll read about them soon on The Icon):
Sept. 26 – First, to conclude summer, the final Ada Farmers’ Market takes place at Community Health Professionals on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Oct. 4-5 – Ada High School homecoming. Parade prior of football game on Oct. 4. Watch the Icon for more details.
Oct. 5 – ONU will dedicate its newly installed artificial turf as “Bill Robinson Field,” The event is at 1:30 p.m. on the field.
Oct. 17 – Health fair at Community Health Professionals, sponsored by Liberty National Bank, from 9 -11 a.m. It will include blood screens and other activities.
Oct. 18 – Ada Kiwanis Club spaghetti dinner, Ada High School, 4:30-7 p.m.
Oct. 18-19 – Ohio Northern University homecoming. ONU Residential Life Committee will sponsor a homecoming parade.
Oct. 31 – Ada trick-or-treat night. A downtown pumpkin hunt is planned, as is a Halloween parade, sponsored by the Ada Kiwanis Club. Watch The Icon for more details coming.
Nov. 4 – 48th annual Town and Gown banquet, ONU, 5:30 p.m. Tickets will be on sale soon. Ada’s Distinguished Citizen of the Year will be announced at the banquet.
Nov. 18-23 – Ada Festival of Trees, Community Health Professionals.
Dec. 2 – Merry on Main. A new event, sponsored by the Ada Area Chamber of commerce is planned at the Ada Depot. It includes a visit from Santa Claus from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The Christmas lights that have previously been displayed at the park will be moved to the Depot this year. The Depot will have Christmas lights up until Jan. 1. A holiday window-decorating contest is also being considered.
