Ada Barnyard Farmers Meeting

The Ada Barnyard Farmers 4-H Club met on Sunday, June 22nd at 3pm. The meeting was called to order by President Alexis Amburgey. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Caralee Stover, and the 4-H Pledge was led by Caitlyn Stover. Roll call was done by Secretary Shelby Hazelton, and 21 members were present.
Secretary Shelby then read the minutes of the previous meeting, which were approved as read. Treasurer Brice Ferguson gave the Treasurer’s report. Committee reports were given by chairmen Alexis Amburgey and Noah Beach.
Some community service ideas were announced, and it was decided that the club’s booth at the Hardin County Fair would be super hero themed. New business included the invitation to the club to participate in this year’s Homecoming Parade for Ada High School. It is not yet decided if the club will accept this invitation.
Announcements included non-livestock project judging, which will be held July 14th at the county fairgrounds. It was moved by Hope Hazelton, and seconded by Austin Amburgey to adjourn the meeting. Demonstrations were given by Kayla Wince on cats, Dakota Butler on minerals, and Alyssa Wince on the parts of a chicken.
A Health and Safety report was given by Hope Hazelton on how to keep your animals cool in the summer heat. Recreation was led by Austin Amburgey, and refreshments were provided by the Beaches and the Boulangers. The club’s next meeting will be held Sunday, July 13th at 3pm.
