Ada’s newest downtown business, Vape N Chill, offers electronic cigarettes, electronic hookahs, over 40 flavors of e-liquids, and several additional accessories, including e-hookah rentals.

Josh Culp of Ada, with business partner Shane Campbell of Lima, opened the store at 123 S. Main St., Ada, on March 6.

The shop offers an assortment of vapor accessories from starter kits to more advanced mechanical mods. Starter kits are priced as low at $9.95. The store, open to persons 18 and older, has free Wi Fi and offers college discounts.

Concerning flavors, customers will find everything from exotic fruit, apple pie a la mode, sour apple, cotton candy, Jamaican sunset (fruity) and, yes, even tobacco flavors.

Culp said that the juices are all organic and are produced in Ohio. The flavor ingredients include vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol. In addition, some flavors, but not all, include nicotine.

Culp said that cloud competitions take place from 7 to 9 p.m. on first Saturday of each month. There is a $5 entry fee and one monthly winner. Monthly winners will advance to a vape bash held in August in Lima.

Shop hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. The business phone number is 419-634-0060. Icon viewers may also see the shop’s Facebook page by clicking here.

What are electronic cigarettes?
Electronic cigarettes are battery-powered vaporizers. They offer a similar feel to tobacco smoking.

Electronic cigarettes do not contain tobacco, although some use nicotine from tobacco plants. They do not produce cigarette smoke, instead produce an aerosol, which is referred to as vapor.

They have a heating element that atomizes a liquid solution known as e-liquid. E-liquids are usually a mixture of propylene glycol, glycerin, nicotine and flavorings. Others have similar ingredients but without nicotine.
