The Ohio Northern men's soccer team defeated John Carroll Saturday evening to win the OAC Tournament title out scoring the Blue Streaks 4-3 in penalty kicks at Kerscher Stadium.

With the win, ONU will recieve an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament and their opponent will be announced Monday Nov. 9 at 1:30 pm.

This will be the Polar Bears eight appearance in the NCAA Tournament, with the most recent trip coming in 2013.

The Polar Bears move to 17-4-1 overall, while John Carroll concludes its season at 14-4-2.

The match is officially a tie with ONU advancing on penalty kicks.

The ONU musical theatre class fall capstone performance will be held in Lima on Saturday, Nov. 14.

Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults for the program which will begin at 8 p.m. at The Met, 306 N. Main, Lima.

Our Lady of Lourdes annual bazaar will be on Veterans Day, Wednesday. Nov. 11, at the church located at 300 E. Highland.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The popular pre-Christmas event, held in November for many years, also features handcrafted items, a bake sale, a raffle, and theme baskets, such as movie night or camping.

The Ohio Northern University Healthwise Outreach Program, in conjunction with the Hardin County YMCA, will conduct a health fair at the Kenton YMCA facility on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Utilizing the ONU mobile rural preventive health service vehicle, ONU pharmacy students and staff will be on hand to provide glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol screenings.

Amy Fanous, director of the ONU Healthwise mobile rural preventive health service vehicle, will be there to provide health-related information and referrals and to arrange follow-up care as needed.

The ONU Habitat for Humanity is having an all you can eat pancake brunch/lunch at Ada First United Methodist Church on Sunday, Nov. 15 from 11:15 a.m. to 2 pm.

Cost is $5 per person. The event is open to the public.

All proceeds will go to ONU Habitat for Humanity.
