Simplified codes cut 610,000 words

The state of Ohio has announced that the 2024 Ohio Building (OBC), Mechanical (OMC), and Plumbing Codes (OPC) rules go into effect on Friday, March 1, 2024 with significant reductions in both overall word count as well as regulatory restrictions.

The Ada Historial Society has a hot ticket: a raffle to give recognition and raise money for the Ada-Liberty Township Fire Department.

This past weekend, Will Mosler, an 8th grader at Ada Middle School, ran in the Disney Princess Half Marathon at Walt Disney World for the American Cancer Society. Runners like Will raise donations "to fight all types of cancer, for all types of people."

Northwest Ohio will have a total solar eclipse about 3:15 p.m., on  Monday, April 8. Plans are underway by task forces in large and small towns for an influx of people at that time.
