I'm reading these Mother Goose rhymes to my two-year-old, as part of his bed-time stories.
Have you ever stopped to think about these nursery rhymes and what these stories or words mean?
So many of these rhymes just don't make sense: Hey diddle, diddle, the cat and the fiddle. The cow jumped over the what?
Others are a little sinister, like the one about Peter, the pumpkin eater, and whatever he did with his wife.
Ada Community Improvement Corp. (CIC) will hold its first meeting of 2020 on Wednesday at noon in the Ada depot, according to Eileen Peterman, secretary of the CIC.
The 2020 CIC meetings are Jan. 15, April 15, July 15, Oct. 21 and Dec. 16. Meetings are at noon in the Ada depot.
What is “CIC”?
Ada CIC is “a corporation for the sole purpose of advancing, encouraging, and promoting industrial, economic, commercial and civic development of our Ada Community and Area.”
