The Ada High School wrestling team battled rivals Allen East and Parkway in a meet featuring four teams at Coldwater on Tuesday night, January 18.
The Bulldog grapplers lost to the Mustangs 61-12, and were defeated by Parkway 60-21.
"Wrestling a good team like Allen East requires you to do all the little things right," said Ada head coach Eric Perkins. "They have some experienced guys who have been very successful in high school wrestling that are going to take advantage of every opportunity you give them."
The two Ada wins vs. powerhouse AE both came by forfeit at 126 lbs. for Rowan West, and at 132 lbs. for Trevor McGue.

Landon A. Blankenship, 20, of Ada, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022.
He was born on December 17, 2001, in Charleston, WV to Allen and Kelli (Frame) Blankenship, who both survive in Ada.
Landon was a member of The Bridge Church, Lima. He loved sports, fishing, working out and spending time with his friends. He had a big heart and loved many and was loved by many as well.
Landon was a 2020 graduate of Ada High School, where he played on the football team, and worked part-time at Ohio Northern University in Food Services.
An Ada resident was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Logan County, Ohio on the morning of January 16, 2022. The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fatal crash involving Landon A. Blankenship, 20, who was pronounced dead after the 5:53 a.m. crash. Blankenship was the only occupant of the 2012 Nissan Quest minivan.
The crash occurred when Blankenship was traveling on North Main St. near Lake Ave. in West Mansfield. At a curve in the road, the minivan went off the left side of the pavement and continued off the road until striking a tree. The extensively damaged minivan became engulfed in flames.
