Brian Clum, Ada VFW Post 9381 Commander, presents a $600 check for Operation Evergreen to Dave Reese, owner of Kaleidoscope Farms. The farm donated 3 trees to be sent overseas to US military installations where US troops are currently deployed. The Ohio Christmas Tree Association (OCTA) spearheads Operation Evergreen. The State of Ohio Purple Star Advisory Board has selected Ada High School to be among the 511 active Purple Star Schools in the state for 2023. According to the Ohio Department of Education, over 14,000 students in the state are part of military families. The Purple Star award is given to “schools that show a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military.”
In the early morning hours of November 7, detectives from the Hardin County Crime Task Force were requested to assist the Kenton Police Department in the investigation of a possible shooting that occurred in the 400 block of Levings Street in the city of Kenton.
During the investigation, a search warrant was issued for a Levings Street residence, where detectives seized a quantity of suspected drugs including fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription pills, and marijuana.
