Ada First United Methodist Church will offer two ways to observe Ash Wednesday this week.
In partnership with Sugar Grove United Methodist, the congregations offer three “drive-thru” service times as well as an evening worship service.
During the three “drive-thru” times, participants will experience the significance of Ash Wednesday.
The experience is through scripture reading, prayer, the imposition of ashes, and a blessing, all from the comfort of your car and under the canopy entrance on Highland Street at Ada First United Methodist Church
Drive-thru hours are 8 to 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 5 to-6.m.
Vendor registrations are being accepting for the Saturday, May 9, Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce arts and crafts festival.
Here are some of the details for this year’s show:
• Family-oriented festival with lots of free entertainment, such as pony rides, mini golf, a llama exhibit, and live music.

What classes are you taking this semester?
I am currently taking advanced chemistry, government, anatomy, calculus II at ONU, composition II, and band.
What are your plans after high school?
My goals after high school may change over the course of time; however, at the moment I am planning on pursuing engineering or neuroscience.
A spring book fair is underway this week at Ada elementary. The fair opened Monday and runs through Thursday, according to Chanda Smith, media specialist.
A special evening opening for families is planned Thursday, Feb. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. during the second and third grade musical presentation.
