The Ada Purple 5th grade boys' basketball team placed as runner-up in the NWOYBL in the boys' 5th grade division on Saturday, Feb. 22.

The division consisted of 18 teams. Ada went in to  league tournament play with a 6-0 record. They defeated Riverdale, USV, and Bluffton to advance to the championship game against Allen East, who also had a 6-0 regular season record.
